Pheasant Tail Lodge is situated in the heart of the Bay of Plenty in the small farming community of Galatea which is surrounded by the Te Urewera National Park.

The valley includes many fishing options including Lake Aniwhenua, Horomanga River, Rangitaiki River, and numerous other streams which are all world famous for wild trout fishing, right here in New Zealand.

Our property is less then a five minute walk from the picturesque Whirinaki River.
